In 1830, Roscoe Village was built alongside the Ohio and Erie Canal and it is full of historic appeal. Once you step into the town, you will feel as though you have been transported back in time.
One of the greatest things about this particular Ohio Christmas village is its historic traditions. From the Candle Lighting Ceremony, the foods (roasted chestnuts and hot mulled cider to name a few), lantern ceremonies, traditional vendors, living history interpreters and old-fashioned Christmas décor, celebrating the holiday season at Historic Roscoe Village will bring out the nostalgic love of Christmas!

Historic Roscoe Village Christmas 2023 Dates & Hours
The Candle Lighting Ceremony will be on Saturday, December 2 and Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 6pm. Prior to the ceremony, children can visit with Santa, visitors can hear strolling carolers, enjoy complimentary hot-mulled cider and cookies, roasted chestnuts and other holiday festivities. A Roscoe Christmas lantern tour will be held on both dates at 7pm, after the candle lighting ceremony. Christmas crafts will also be available on both Saturdays.
While at Historic Roscoe Village be sure to walk through the historic village to see the old-fashioned Christmas decorations, shop at traditional and modern boutiques and dine at the village’s restaurants.

How Much Does Historic Roscoe Village Cost?
It is free to experience the old-fashioned Christmas magic and candle lighting ceremony at Historic Roscoe Village. While there, visitors are encouraged to patronize the local businesses that support the event, but you will come away with some unique gifts and a great time!
The Roscoe Christmas Lantern Tour is $15.00 per person, reservations are required in advance and the Christmas Craft is $9.00 per person. Purchase tickets for both here.

Much of the entertainment takes place outdoors, so you’ll want to dress warmly for the weather. If you plan to shop or eat, you will want to dress in layers as you’ll be going in and out of heated buildings.
