ohio girl travels

What makes Kirtland one of the best places to visit for Christmas in Ohio? This town focuses on the true reason for the season, the birth of Christ, with a Christmas Nativity Scene theme.

One of the most unique things about all of these scenes is that they are all made from different materials- traditional fabrics, porcelain, wood, glass and more.

There are nearly 1,000 different nativity scenes from around the world. These nativity scenes are based on how different cultures celebrate the birth of Christ.

This is an exhibit that is child-friendly, so you don’t have to be nervous about them touching or breaking anything.

How Many Christmas Lights Are In Kirtland?

While the 1,000+ nativity scenes are housed inside, the building exterior and surrounding landscapes are decorated with more than 150,000 twinkling lights.
