With roots dating back to the 1800’s and with the thriving hub of the steel industry in the early 1900’s, numerous historic buildings can be found throughout downtown Youngstown.
The 9/11 Memorial Park is dedicated to the memory of those who perished on September 11, 2001. Remnants of the World Trade Center beams, building stones from the Pentagon, dirt from the crash site of Flight 93 and memorials to the first responders are on display.
Established in 1891 as Ohio’s first park district, Mill Creek Park MetroParks extends 4,500 + acres from Youngstown and throughout Mahoning County.
