Welcome to Ohio Girl Travels!

Heather Rader is the blogger and traveler behind Ohio Girl Travels. Growing up in rural Ohio, she never dreamed she would travel the world. At the age of eighteen, she was bitten by the travel bug and more than ten years later, she has visited three continents, over twenty countries (many of those multiple times), thirty-six states, and over hundred cities! Heather loves exploring other cultures, religions and foods, and is always up for a new adventure! Whether she is floating in the Dead Sea in Israel, climbing the Great Wall of China, exploring Hindu temples in India, enjoying the view from the top of the highest building in the world in Dubai, cruising the Seine River in Paris, tasting port in Portugal or eating tapas in Barcelona, nothing satisfies her more than being a citizen of the world!

When she isn’t gallivanting the world, Heather loves exploring her home state of Ohio. With so many wonderful places, parks, and cities to visit in Ohio, she seeks big and small Ohio adventures and encourages others to explore this lovely state. Along with her personal blog, Ohio Girl Travels, Heather is a monthly contributing blogger for Tourism Ohio where she loves sharing her admiration for Ohio!

Heather currently lives near Columbus, with her husband, her dog and cat. Both her husband and her dog are her favorite travel companions, and are willing to seek adventures with her, even though they may never know where she might whisk them away to on their next big journey!
