Favorite Photos of 2020

What started like any other hopeful new year, 2020 quickly became the year of constant uncertainty. Even though at times it seemed like the world was spinning out of control, 2020 taught us many things: to be thankful, spending time with loved ones is a gift and the art of slowing down.

2020 was going to be a big travel year for me, visiting ten new countries and checking off a bucket list trip (Russia), instead, like the rest of the world, I quarantined at home for the majority of the year. Even though most of my trips were canceled, I did manage to travel to a few places within the United States.

As 2020 is ending, I wanted to share some of my favorite photos of the year. As I compiled these photos, I am humbled by the amount of support that I have continued to receive this past year. I am so grateful and would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of you! I am so appreciative of your time spent reading Ohio Girl Travels and the positive feedback which inspires me to write and share more with you. I truly feel blessed to walk through this world with the support of so many family, friends and readers!

Even though travel was limited this year, I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite photos of 2020! Wishing you all the best for 2021!

The loves of my life:

My husband ~ Chad

I am incredibly blessed to have my husband’s love, friendship and support. He knows my wild soul craves adventure and he happily obliges by fueling my passion for travel. This year we celebrated 15 years of marriage and 25 years together (we were middle school sweethearts)! His constant encouragement, love and support makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world!

My dogs ~ Gary, Honey and Lulu

Since I was quarantined at home most of the year, I adopted three dogs from GRIN Rescue (Golden Retrievers In Need).

Gary was a 13-year-old Golden Retriever mix who needed a warm loving home, unfortunately he passed away three months after we adopted him.

Honey was a 3-year-old Golden Retriever rescued from an abusive puppy mill. She was a hospice case, and we knew our time together would be limited due to her renal failure. Unfortunately, she passed away six months after we adopted her.

*Even though we had limited time with both Gary and Honey, I’m so thankful for the time we did have together. They were both special dogs that I’ll always remember.

Lulu is a four-year-old Golden Retriever who was rescued from a puppy mill. Thankfully, she is happy and healthy! It’s been so rewarding watching her thrive in our home and she’s become Spud’s best friend (they chase each other around the house and take daily naps together on the couch).

My cat ~ Spud

Spud is the sweetest cat, he loves to snuggle, play with his toy mouse and adores Lulu (they have become the best of friends)!
